Developmental Soccer Program
Our Developmental Soccer Program is designed to teach each player skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship in an environment where participation, fun, and competition are the focus. Texas United wants to ensure that all Houston area youth have the opportunity to learn the game of soccer. Our program provides a low-cost, safe and structured soccer experience for all area youth grades Kindergarten to 5th Grade.
Our Developmental Soccer Program consists of a Fall League of 10 games. The club provides Referees for games at no extra cost. Standings will be kept online for ages U7 and up. The Fall League concludes with our TUFC Cup tournament.
Fall TUFC Cup Tournament
All teams in our Fall 2016 League are entered to play our annual TUFC Cup at the end of the season. This is an exclusive tournament for all our Developmental Soccer Program players. Teams play 3 game minimum and finals for the U7 – U10 age groups. All players receive awards at the end of the tournament. This tournament is included with your registration.
Skills Training - Professional Training Sessions
Texas United FC provides Skills Training for our Developmental Soccer Program players! Skills training sessions are run by professional trainers whose focus is improving players’ technical skills. Players enrolled in Skills Training will have 8 weeks of training on Friday evenings. Each session is 60 minutes long.
U5 – U6 Developmental Soccer Program Players
Our younger players are enrolled in our Skills Training sessions on Fridays and will have games on Saturdays. A volunteer coach will coach games under the supervision of our trainers and DOC. No scores will be kept for these age groups.
U7 – U10 Developmental Soccer Program Players
Players in our U7 – U10 will be trained by a volunteer coach. They will have the option of enrolling for Skills Training to help improve their development. They will train twice a week and have games on Saturdays. A volunteer coach will coach games under the supervision of our trainers and DOC. Scores and standings will be kept for these age groups.
Uniform
Starting this Fall, our Developmental Soccer Program will use NIKE uniforms. These uniforms will used for two years (4 seasons). The Developmental Soccer Program Uniform will consist of two jerseys, shorts and socks. The uniform can be purchased at Soccer Centre located 4322 Hwy 6 N, Houston, TX 77084.
New USSF Age Matrix
Starting this Fall, our Developmental Soccer Program will use the new age chart provided by United States Soccer Federation to create teams.
Developmental Soccer Program Fall Registration Fees
Fall League plus added Skills Training
This option includes Skills training sessions for 8 weeks in addition to the Fall League.Players U7-U10 will also be able to attend one of their team's volunteer lead training sessions,
U5-U6 - $100

This option places players on teams with volunteer coaches who will run the practices and games.

Skills Training Only
This option will enroll the participant in our Skills Training sessions for 8 weeks. Players will not be placed on a team and will not have games.
